Essential Travel Tips
Tender Ports
You have three tender ports: Falmouth, Dublin, and Edinburgh. Get your tender tickets from Guest Services first thing each morning. Factor in at least 60–90 minutes of extra travel time each way.
Currency
Carry British Pounds (£) for England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. Bring Euros (€) for the Republic of Ireland (Cobh, Dublin) and France (Le Havre). Many independent shops accept cards, but markets often prefer cash.
Book Tours Now
Private black cabs (Liverpool, Belfast) and private driver-guides (Scotland, Ireland) sell out months in advance for cruise days. Book as soon as possible — especially for Invergordon and Edinburgh.
Sunday Closures
Falmouth and Invergordon fall on Sundays. Some smaller independent and charity shops may have reduced hours or be closed. Prioritize pre-booked tours and major sights on these days.
